Betway Premiership Ready To Go

The PSL has commenced with its first cup competition of the season, the MTN8 Wafa Wafa, on August 3, 2024. Orlando Pirates, Stellenbosch FC, Cape Town City FC, and Mamelodi Sundowns all advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.

On July 26, 2024, Betway was announced as the new sponsor for the PSL following DSTV’s withdrawal. It was stated that the upcoming premiership would be known as the Betway Premiership.

Dr. Irvin Khoza, the Chairman of the new league, unveiled a preliminary league schedule, but it lacked details on venues and timings.
