PSL Announce New Sponsor

According to information published on this page on July 17, 2024, the PSL and DSTV have broken up. The PSL has declared that Betway, a betting corporation, will be their new sponsor.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2024, the announcement was made at the PSL headquarters in Parktown, Johannesburg. The PSL deal with Betway is for three years and will cost R900 million total.

The Betway Premiership, the new PSL League, is scheduled to begin play on August 3, 2024 and the MTN8 event will be the first to go under.

In response to inquiries regarding the Betway Premiership fixture for 2024–2025, the new trophy, and the prize money for the victor, PSL Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza remarked, “Watch this space!”
