Witbooi’s Future Is Bright
Emile Witbooi, 15, has received an offer from Cape Town City Football Club to practice with the first squad. This occurs after Witbooi had a great season with the Cape Town City DSTV Diski Challenge team, impressing Eric Tinkler and his technical staff.

The 15-year-old is the son of Surprise Ralani, a player with the recently relegated Cape Town Spurs FC and a former winger for Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns. Emile played for Mamelodi Sundowns team develop even while his father was still a Downs’ player.
Emile joins the first team after it announced Hasheem Domingo from Raja Casablanca, Kamohelo Mokotjo from Sekhukhune United, Angolan midfielder Carlinhos, Lefa Aphane from Tzaneen United, Kayden Francis from Chippa United, Fortune Makaringe from Orlando Pirates, Prince Tjiueza, the international goalkeeper from Namibia, Elson Sithole from Magesi FC, and defender Sibusiso Ziba from JDR Stars as their new players.
